The Managing Partners are the founding partners of Tellsons Investors LLP. Together they have over 100 years’ combined experience managing and advising equity and debt funds for a broad range of clients in the UK and across Europe.

The Managing Partners are supported by portfolio, research, compliance and accounting specialists in the management of both the Fund and the firm. Co-invested with the Managing Partners are a group of Investor Partners comprised of institutions, family offices and private individuals.

Joe Bunting, Founder Managing Partner and Co-CIO

Joe is the founder of Tellsons, the Managing Partner responsible for the day to day running of the partnership and Co-CIO of the Endeavour World Equity Fund, directing Fund strategy. Joe has 28 years of investment experience, previously in corporate debt, merger and buyout financing, and multi-asset investments with Paribas, Goldman Sachs and Alliance Capital LLC. Joe read History and Economics at Edinburgh University after service with the British Army in Germany.

Christoph Wiedebach, Partner at Tellsons Investors LLP

Christoph Wiedebach, Co-founder Partner, CIO and Head of Research

Christoph is a co-founder of Tellsons, the chief investment officer of the firm and Managing Partner responsible for all investment activity. Christoph has 27 years of experience in international equities and multi-asset investments with Fidelity, Oppenheim Private Bank and Alliance Capital LLC. Christoph is fluent in English, German and Spanish, graduated with an engineering degree from Munich Technical University and took his MBA at the University of Michigan. Christoph is also a member of the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

John Bishop, Co-founder Partner, Head of Compliance

John Bishop is the Managing Partner responsible for Compliance. John has 38 years of investment experience and business leadership in the international fixed income investment industry. John worked with and ran teams from 1981 for Bank of America, Bankers Trust, Credit Suisse and Paribas. After a brief period with US hedge fund Caxton, John founded and ran his own investment company, Observatory Capital, before becoming a founder partner of Tellsons in 2012.

Ludovico Mori, Head of Investment Operations, Quantitative Research

Ludovico Mori manages portfolio investment operations and quantitative and macro-economic research. Ludo joined the firm at launch direct from Federico II university in Naples, Italy following graduation in Economics & Finance. Ludo has the IMC and is a partner of the firm.

The Managing Partners of the firm are supported by a Senior Partnership Advisory Group comprised of leaders from a broad range of business and investment backgrounds.

Alex Birch

Alex is a senior partner and member of the management committee at OC&C Strategy Consultants providing corporate strategy, performance and organisation enhancement and M&A support to clients across Europe, the US and Asia. In his thirty years of industry experience, Alex has developed specialisations in the consumer, media, entertainment and telecom sectors, holding non-executive directorships in the retail and business information sub-sectors. Alex graduated in Law from Cambridge and took his MBA from IMD Lausanne. Alex is a Trustee of The Conservation Foundation.

Tony van Gool

Tony is an adviser to a number of businesses across the investment, wealth and fintech industries following a career of almost 30 years, initially at Invesco and then for 20 years at Artemis Investment Management. At Artemis he played a crucial role in the award-winning manager’s wholesale distribution strategy across the UK and Europe driving a 20-fold growth in assets under management during his tenure. Tony created and developed the due diligence, governance and risk control frameworks required to support this growth, firmly establishing the manager amongst the leaders in the industry. Tony took a PhD in Materials Science at Nottingham University.

John Mc Donald

John is co-founder of Alternative Research and director of Arlington Capital. John was co-founder of BACIT which later became Syncona the UK-listed biotechnology investment trust and previously a non-executive director of Hanson Asset Management, the UK multi-family office. Prior to this John served as director of Impax Asset Management, the specialist environmental impact investment manager and as a director in the Alternative Investments division at New Star Asset Management. John graduated from the European Business School before starting his career with Morgan Grenfell in London.

Richard Nunneley

Richard served as director of Mercury Asset Management, Cazenove and then Singer & Friedlander, and sat on the LSE Investment Sub-Committee and Grosvenor Finance and Investment Committee. Currently, Richard serves as Chairman of Impact Investment Partners, Illyrian Land Funds and as an adviser to Floreat, the multi-family office. Prior to his career in investment, Richard served in the Armed Forces as Colonel of his regiment.

Charlie Metcalfe

Charlie started his investment career with JP Morgan followed by Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and, as Deputy CEO, at Hermes Investments. Charlie subsequently assumed CEO roles at First State and Nikko Asset Management. Charlie holds non-executive directorships  with Perspective Investments and Wilton Real Estate Capital and other advisory roles in private equity and corporate finance. Charlie is a graduate of Yale University and a director of a Sainsbury Family charitable trust and the Institute of Imagination.
